EMBO Gold Medal nomination procedure

Awarded annually for outstanding contributions to the development of molecular biology in Europe, the EMBO Gold Medal award comprises a gold medal and a bursary of 10 000 euro.

Eligible Candidates

European molecular biologists working in Europe who are under the age of 40 years and work in the Member States of the EMBC.

Nominations

The EMBO membership is invited each year to nominate candidates for the medal. To be considered, a nomination must be supported by three EMBO Members and must include:

a) C.V. of the nominee.

b) The nominee's five most important publications.

c) Statements from each of the three proposers indicating why she or he believes the candidate should be considered for the medal.

The deadline for receipt of nominations is 15 February.
